Default Maderas and Hoggmeiser

Anyone here ever bother to raise them up? I know it's kinda pointless considering you can get a Nosferatu or Nether Noble to do the job better, but I decided to give it a shot myself since I had them there in the party doing nothing.

I really like Maderas with high attack and using him as a crowd controller. I gave him a cleric and skull apprentice so he could learn healing, spells, and buffs. Giving him spells and being able to magic boost himself made him pretty formidable.

Hoggmeiser actually has some use for me in Cave of Ordeals! I raised his attack to a ridiculous level and had him crushing CoO3 critters a bit so my lowbies could level off of it. Once again, the Nether Noble done right is better, but I guess out of the characters that are simply "given" to you, this is definitely an option for using those characters that just "Take up space".

I used them up until I was able to get better peoples. Cause for a while they are strong than most of my other characters.

The only problem I have with Maderas is that his ability list is half int-based and half atk-based. I went ahead and apprenticed a few dummy characters under him to give him some buffing (Braveheart, Shield, etc.) but Chaos Fire and Chaos Plasma never really measure up for him. What I plan to do for him is gather a ton of Masters and Teachers (Or is it Tutors in Disgaea 1? I can never remember) to raise his Int on an item, and hope that helps equal out his damage range.

For Hoggmeiser, a strong belt, good monster weapon and maybe a Testament to boot makes him good for crowds, or using Earthshaker to pull enemies closer to your Warriors. I find him good for crowd control with Darkness Slash and Megaton Crush.

Hoggmeiser is fannnnnntastic! Maderas was just plain neat really, vampire... even if his needtobemigratedendgametobeuseful were a little odd.
